POMI’: DEMANDING BEGINNING OF THE YEAR

Echoing end of the year for the Girls of VBC Pomì Casalmaggiore as for the results but even more exciting when looking ahead at the several key events they are going to face shortly. After the home victory vs Foppapedretti Bergamo (3-1 ) and the clear one (3-0) vs Savino del Bene  in their own “fortress” in Scandicci, the Girls of Coach Caprara closed the wonderful 2016 with an important , even if quite tight and thrilling, home victory at the tie break 3-2  at the Pala Radi in Cremona thus getting the Title of Winter Champion.

Back to track, let’s recap the last games starting from the home match vs Foppa Pedretti Bergamo starting uphill (0-1) but from the 2nd Set Fabris & Co. are able to force their own game and get thru with  a Top Fighter Anastasia Guerra (MVP at the end) and huge blockers Jole Stevanovic and Lauren Gibbemeyer (13 and 10 respectively) and Carli Lloyd too ! (5 winning blocks). Excellent performance by Lucia Bosetti (14 points) and the usual tough job of Imma Sirressi. For the opponents, a worthy note for the Polisch Katarzyna Skowronsk with 22 points.

Nicely successful and winning away Match in Toscana  after just a couple of days for the Girls of Casalmaggiore who managed to speed up from the very beginning and put their own Seal on the Big Match vs Savino del Bene Scandicci by wiping out the central attacks and duly controlling the left alone Zago (former Pomì). The girls of coach Caprara played Superb in all fundamentals (wall, attack, defense) and could reconfirm the Leadership in the Championship with Jole Stevanovic asd MVP and Fabris with 16 points.

The following home match on 26th December brought some unexpected thrills at the full Pala Radi, with the only tie break of the season so far in Cremona, but with an happy ending and the title of Winter Champion achieved !   26 points for Fabris, 11 for Stevanovic, great performance by Guerra and Bosetti (15 and 18 points respectively) but above all a masterful performance by Lauren Gibbemeyer , MVP with 14 points (7  from block).

Among the opponents’ performance, definitely below expectations by Efimienko, good performance by Nikolic and 11 points for Malagurski.

“Hot” early days of the new year for the Girls of Casalmaggiore:

5th – 8th January round matches  for the quarter final of the Coppa Italia A1 Women vs Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena (Sunday 8th home at Pala Radi)

12th January first round of the 16th Finals CEV Cup vs the Israelis Team of Maccabi XT Haifa

18th January postponed first match of the Italian Championship vs Club Italia

22nd January in Monza vs Saugella Team

26th January return match of Cev Cup in Haifa vs Maccabi XT

30th January home match vs Sudtirol Bolzano for the Championship

Kraj godine za devojke VBC Pomi Kasalmadjore je bio vise nego uzbudljiv sto se tice rezultata, ali I naredni mecevi pocetkom kao i tokom Januara ce biti podjenako uzbudljivi. Posle pobede kod kuce protiv Fopaperdetija iz Bergama (3-1) i (3-0) protiv Savina Del Bene u njihoj “tvrdjavi” u Sandiciju, kao i treci zaredom protiv Pala Radi u Kremoni bio jako tesan I rezultatski neizvestan, koji je dobijen u taj brejku (3-2). Devojke trenera Kapare zavrsile su sjajnu 2016. godinu, ponevsi titulu jesenjeg prvaka!

Da rezimiramo meceve. Prvi mec kod kuce protiv Fopapedetija iz Bergama je poceo tako sto je 1. set pripao gostima (0-1) ali od 2.seta Fabris i kompanija su uspele da nametnu svoju igru, sa borbenom Anastasiom Gererom (MVP meca) i blokerkama Stevanovic i Loren Gibemejer  (13-10) kao i Karli Lojd sa 5 blok vinera. Odlicna partija i Luke Boseti (14 poena), kao i obicno dobro je odigrala i Ima Sirezi. U protivnickom taboru vredno pomena je bila poljakinja Katarina Skovonsk sa 22 poena.

Pobednicki niz se nastavio I podjenako uspesnom mecu na strani u Toskani, samo nekoliko dana posle pobede kod kuce, devojke Kasalmadjorea su uspele da podignu formu na samom startu ovog velikog meca protiv Savino del Bene iz Sandicija. Nase devojke su uspele da odole napadima I da ostave po strani I stave pod svoju kontrolu bivsu igracicu Pomija Zago. Devojke trenera Kapare odigrale su odlicno u kljucnim segmentima igre, zivi zid odnosno blok, napad I odbrana, I tako uspele da potvrde prvo mesto u Prvenstvu sa Stevanovic koja je bila MVP meca I Fabis sa 16 poena.

Naredni mec kod kuce je bio na programu 26. Decembra, koji je doneo nepredvidivo uzbudjenje protiv Pala Radi, sa jedinim taj brejkom u sezoni, ali na kraju se sve dobro zavrsilo i Devojke iz Kasalmadjorea su slavile I tako ponele titulu jesenjeg Prvaka. 26 poena za Fabris, 11 za Stevanovic, I sjajna partija Gerere I Boseti sa po 15 I 18 poena. Ali iznad svega vise nego odlicnu patiju pruzila je loren Gibemejer, MVP meca sa 14 poena sedam iz bloka! Sto se tice potivnika iznad proseka je bila Efimienko, kao I Nikolic I 11 poena Malguski.

Vruce ce biti pvih dana Januara za devojke Kasalmadjorea, a evo I rasporeda:

5 – 8.Januara ocekuju nas vezani mecevi za cetvrtfinale Kupa Italije A1 za zene, pvi protiv Lui Jo Nordmehanika iz Modene, a 8. januara kod kuce protiv Pala Radi.

  1. Januara prvo kolo 16/finala CEV Kupa protiv Izraelskog tima Makabi XT Haifa
  2. Januara odlozen je prvi mec Italijanskog prvenstva potiv Klub Italije
  3. Januara u Monzi protiv Saugela Tima
  4. Januara drugi mec Cev Kupa u Haifi protiv Makabija XT
  5. Januara prvenstveni mec kod kuce protiv Sudtirol Bolzano

Jako gust raspored za Devojke kasalmadjorea, ali su one spremne na sve! Idemoo!
